The HDE Analyst drives project success by serving as the bridge between clinicians, Epic implementation teams, and payer operations. You'll manage the full spectrum of Epic member connectivity-from strategic business case development through operational delivery-while translating clinical workflows, technical capabilities, and business needs into aligned solutions. This role requires both technical depth in Epic configuration and the interpersonal credibility to lead conversations across clinical, IT, and payer stakeholders.
What You'll Do
Stakeholder Leadership & Communication
  • Lead cross-functional conversations between Provider, Epic, and Payer teams to align on implementation goals, priorities, and timelines.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for Epic integration projects, confidently discussing implementation lifecycle activities including testing, piloting, and go-live.
  • Conduct quarterly provider meetings with implemented providers to support relationship management and quality enablement.
  • Translate clinical workflow requirements into Epic configurations and data specifications that providers understand and can execute against.

HDE Strategy & Business Development
  • Support business case development for EMR integrations, capability expansions, and complementary system integrations (ADT, HIE, Labs).
  • Contribute to analytics and tracking of Clinical Tech integration outcomes.
  • Participate in process design and implementation for new or expanded integrations.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships with EMR, ADT, HIE, Lab, and clearinghouse partners (e.g., Availity).

Epic Operations & Configuration
  • Manage Epic member load, configuration, mapping, and data analytics with providers.
  • Own Epic configuration for new implementations and provider expansions.
  • Optimize data flow and accuracy across integrated systems.
  • Perform defect resolution and troubleshooting collaboratively with providers and internal teams.
  • Manage roster data, optimization, and delivery to downstream vendors.

Project Tracking & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain project tracking mechanisms that provide accountability and visibility across HDE, HEDIS, and Provider Enablement workstreams.
  • Track status and progress on live and optimized integrations.
  • Collaborate with HDE-IT and Business Data Services (BDS) on technical and data issues.

Who You Are
Required
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Epic certification in one or more of: EpicCare Ambulatory, Epic Healthy Planet, Epic Referrals and Authorizations, Epic Care Everywhere, Epic Health Information Management, and/or Epic Bridges.
  • Strong understanding of clinician workflows and healthcare operations (clinical background, nursing experience, or extensive payer/provider operations exposure).
  • Payer or large academic Epic experience in an implementation, support, or analyst role.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clinical, technical, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing provider relationships and conducting implementation or operational meetings.

Preferred
  • Clinical background (RN, MD, NP, or clinical informaticist training).
  • Implementation exposure to HEDIS, Clinical Documentation Integrity, Release of Information, Risk Adjustment, Value-Based Care, and/or CMS-0057.
  • Prior experience within an EMR vendor implementation or technical services team.
  • Experience with multiple EMR platforms or healthcare integration standards.
  • Proficiency in Epic Clarity Data Model, Epic Clinical Data Model, and/or Epic Cogito Tools Admin.
  • Experience with SQL, JSON, or Python for query optimization and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with ADT, HIE, Lab, or other clinical data exchange systems.
