Salary Range: $52.95 - $71.48

Epic Healthy Planet EMR Analyst with strong focus in implementation of Health Maintenance Topic, Care Gaps, Registries, Metrics, Reporting Workbench Report, and Dashboards.
NOTE: This role is primarily full-time on-site. The department offers the privilege of working remotely up to two (2) days per week, contingent upon role responsibilities, business needs, and manager approval.
Summary of Duties: Seeking Highly detail-oriented individualwith a commitment to data accuracy and quality. This individual must be highly self-motivated who thrives in fast-paced environment with multiple conflicting priorities. This role focuses on building and maintaining robust patient registries, quality metrics, and clinical reporting solutions that drive value-based care initiatives and improved patient outcomes across defined populations. This person must haveStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to trace complex registry logic end-to-end.
Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with additional Epic modules (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Cogito, Compass Rose).
    • Prior experience supporting independent or community-based physician practices.
    • Experience with system upgrades and integrated testing cycles
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or clinical certifications (i.e. LVN, MA, OTR etc.) desired
  • Bachelor's degree in health informatics, Information Technology, Clinical Science,or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
  • Additional Epic certifications in Compass Rose, Cogito/Reporting Workbench, or Ambulatory.
  • Familiarity with MyPanel Metrics, Health Maintenance topic build, and immunization registry integration
Key Responsibilities
Registry & Metrics Build (Primary Focus)
o Design, build, and maintain patient registries and cohorts in Epic Healthy Planet, including condition-specific registries for chronic disease management, preventive care, and value-based care contracts.
o Develop and configure Health Maintenance topics, care gap rules, and registry logic to ensure accurate patient identification and outreach prioritization.
o Build and maintain HEDIS, MIPS/eCQM, and custom quality metrics to support regulatory reporting requirements and organizational quality goals.
o Create and validate SQL-based and Reporting Workbench quality measures for disease-specific and population-level dashboards.
o Configure risk stratification models and population segmentation tools to support care management targeting of high-risk and rising-risk patients.
o Load and reconcile payer rosters and external claims data, ensuring quality metrics can leverage all available data sources.
Analytics, Reporting & Dashboards
o Build and maintain Reporting Workbench reports, SlicerDicer datasets, and operational dashboards to monitor key quality indicators and care management performance.
o Develop care gap tracking and outreach workflow configurations to support proactive population health management.
o Support Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) documentation and reporting workflows, including assessment build and metric alignment.
o Produce QRDA/CMS regulatory submissions and support MIPS and Promoting Interoperability reporting.
Collaboration & Implementation
o Partner with clinical, operational, and population health leadership to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Epic solutions.
o Collaborate with care management teams on Compass Rose program configuration, care plan templates, and care management productivity analytics.
o Participate in system testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing for new builds, deployments, and Epic upgrades.
o Lead or support Epic upgrade planning and release management for Healthy Planet-related functionality.
o Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and workflow guides for end-user adoption.
Production Support & Optimization
o Provide ongoing production support, issue resolution, and system enhancements post-deployment.
o Troubleshoot Health Maintenance logic, registry discrepancies, and quality measure failures (e.g., identifying why a patient should qualify for a numerator but does not).
o Stay current on Epic upgrades, UserWeb best practices, and emerging population health standards.
Required Qualifications
o Epic Healthy Planet certification (active, required).
o Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Epic Healthy Planet application build and configuration experience.
o Demonstrated expertise in registry build, care gap configuration, and quality metric development (HEDIS, MIPS, eCQM).
o Proficiency with Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, and SQL-based measure development.
o Experience supporting value-based care programs, ACOs, or payer-contracted quality initiatives.
o Strong understanding of clinical workflows in ambulatory, primary care, or care management settings.
o Experience with data validation, troubleshooting complex registry logic, and root-cause analysis of quality measure failures.
