Overview:

Our client, a Medical Center facility under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of largest health delivery systems in California, seeks accomplished Epic Cupid Principal Trainer.

*** Candidate must be authorized to work in USA without requiring sponsorship ***

*** Location: Multiple sites, including San Francisco, Oakland, Emeryville, and other community partner locations

*** Duration: 20 weeks contract w/ possibility of extensions

Notes:

  • Onsite Requirement: Variable based on training, project, and operational needs. Hybrid role.
  • Work Schedule: Monday–Friday; workday schedules may vary, with some evenings and weekends required.

Description:

  • Troubleshoot training issues and determine the difference between build and training issues.
  • Work with challenging and resistant end users.
  • Identify system issues and document them so build analysts can follow up.
  • Research issues that cross multiple applications and operational departments, including billing workflows.
  • Address systems and functions involving design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation.
  • Design and execute tests, analyze system performance data, and produce reports and analyses.
  • Serve as a technical resource to senior staff and managers and provide advice and counsel on functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance.
  • Refer problems impacting multiple users, patient safety, compliance, or medical risk to the supervisor.
  • Refer workflow solutions that change users'' EHR workflows and require Health T governance to the supervisor.
  • Refer projects whose scope has changed significantly to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Epic certification in Cupid.
  • Strong problem-resolution skills with the ability to quickly diagnose problems and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively train, support, and work collaboratively with users of clinical information systems at all professional and technical levels.
  • Detail-oriented with proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and see projects through to completion on deadline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information and instructions clearly and concisely to all levels of clinical applications users.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to design and execute tests, analyze system performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses.
  • Ability to work with senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance.
