Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Epic Willow Home Infusion Analyst to join our Healthcare IT team. This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and technical lead for home infusion pharmacy workflows within the Epic EHR platform, supporting the full continuum of care from hospital discharge through outpatient and home-based infusion therapy. The successful candidate will bring 4+ years of healthcare IT experience and will be responsible for the day-to-day support, configuration, and optimization of the Epic Willow Home Infusion module. The Analyst works in close collaboration with Client team members, the Epic software vendor, offshore support teams, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality application support and enhancements in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Application Support & Operations
• Act as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for Epic Willow Home Infusion workflows and system configurations
• Manage and prioritize daily support and maintenance activities, ensuring timely incident and service request resolution per defined SLAs
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Monitor and resolve error queues, interface issues, and workflow defects specific to home infusion operations
• Support label and printer configurations used in medication preparation and delivery workflows
Build, Configuration & Implementation
• Build, configure, and optimize home infusion pharmacy modules within Epic Willow
• Configure workflows for medication preparation and compounding, delivery logistics, and administration tracking
• Develop and maintain infusion medication builds specific to the Home Infusion (HI) module
• Build and troubleshoot complex billing rules related to payor contracts, including infusion-specific reimbursement scenarios
• Support integration of Home Infusion workflows with ambulatory and inpatient Epic systems to enable seamless continuum-of-care transitions
• Lead or contribute to system design, testing, and go-live implementation activities
• Support multi-site implementations and workflow scaling across the enterprise
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
• Serve as a liaison between client stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring system capabilities align with clinical and operational business needs
• Coordinate care coordination workflows across pharmacy, nursing, and home care services teams
• Partner closely with pharmacists, home infusion nurses, and care coordination staff to understand and translate clinical needs into technical solutions
• Coordinate with offshore support teams on task delegation, effective communication, and performance monitoring
• Participate in regular team meetings, providing updates on project status, risks, and resource requirements
• Support cross-functional teams working on adjacent Epic applications as needed
Compliance & Documentation
• Maintain thorough system documentation including workflows, build specifications, and testing protocols
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data governance, medication safety standards, and organizational security policies
• Support audit readiness and regulatory compliance activities related to home infusion pharmacy operations
• Develop and deliver end-user training materials and conduct training sessions as required
Required Qualifications
Education & Certification
• Active Epic Willow Home Infusion certification required (must be current and maintained)
• Additional Epic certifications (Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, Bugsy, related modules) are a plus
• All Epic certifications must be maintained and kept current throughout employment
Experience
• 4+ years of experience in Epic application management and support
• Demonstrated experience with home infusion pharmacy operations and Epic Willow Home Infusion configuration
• Experience managing day-to-day EHR support operations and meeting SLA requirements
• Prior experience working with offshore teams and managing distributed team coordination preferred
• Experience in healthcare IT consulting or large health system environments preferred
• Familiarity with the continuum of care model (hospital outpatient home) and the coordination-heavy workflows it requires is strongly preferred
