Epic Analysts partner with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to analyze workflows, configure Epic applications, implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and support system optimization. This role plays a key part in ensuring MaineGeneral Health's Epic environment supports efficient, high-quality ambulatory care.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze business and clinical workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Configure, build, test, and implement Epic application enhancements.
  • Collaborate with providers, clinic leaders, operational teams, and IT colleagues to deliver technology solutions.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and provide ongoing production support.
  • Participate in system upgrades, optimization initiatives, and new functionality implementation.
  • Develop documentation, workflows, and end-user training materials.
  • Ensure system configurations align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and Epic best practices.
  • Participate in project planning, testing, and go-live support.

Qualifications:

As part of the selection process, candidates will be required to complete the Epic Sphinx Assessment. Assessment results will be considered alongside relevant experience, interview performance, and organizational needs as part of a holistic evaluation process.

Required

  • Epic certification required within 12 months of hire* (domestic travel required to obtain certification).
  • Experience supporting healthcare applications, clinical operations, or information systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and operational stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Clinical Informatics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

*Employees hired into this role as part of the initial Epic implementation may be hired prior to obtaining Epic certification and will complete required certification through organization-sponsored Epic training.

Compensation Information:

$64,501 - $173,264


The salary range shown reflects the base salary for this position. Individual compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations.
