Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH)  is hiring an Environmental Services Worker to join our Environmental Services Department at the Douglas Medical Center in Bolivar, Missouri — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve. 

Position Details 

  • Status: Full Time 

  • Work Shift: Evenings 

  • Hours: 5:00p.m - 1: 30a.m 

What Your Day Looks Like: Environmental Servicesprovides a clean, safe environment for patients, employees, and visitors using prescribed methods in a professional, courteous manner. 

As an Environmental Service Worker, you will be:  

  • Cleaning all areas of the hospital by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, operating rooms, waiting rooms, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors. 

  • Ensuring all areas are sanitized according to hospital 7 Step Process 

  • Demonstrating the ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedures. 

  • Notifying the supervisor of necessary repairs 

  • Cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment 

Qualifications: 

Education: Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent 

Experience: N/A 

Skills: Service 

Licensure/Certification: N/A 

Physical Requirements: Prolong periods of standing and walking; ability to read and write documentation;Exerting 20 to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 lbs of force frequently.
