We're partnering with a highly respected Twin Cities organization to identify an experienced Accounting Manager for a highly visible leadership position within a large, enterprise Shared Services organization.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an accounting leader who enjoys combining technical accounting, financial analysis, operational leadership, process improvement, and people development in a collaborative environment.

While the role provides leadership over the organization's Order-to-Cash function, this is fundamentally an operational accounting leadership role requiring a strong General Ledger and financial reporting background.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and develop a high-performing accounting operations team supporting the Order-to-Cash process.
  • Oversee customer invoicing, cash application, customer account support, credits, and related accounting activities.
  • Own month-end accounting responsibilities including:
    • Journal entries
    • Balance sheet reconciliations
    • Financial reporting
    • Variance analysis
    • Internal controls
  • Monitor operational performance, KPIs, service levels, and process effectiveness.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, IT, and business leaders to improve processes and enhance customer experience.
  • Lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives within Shared Services.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused culture.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline.
  • Progressive accounting experience within mid-sized or large organizations.
  • Current Accounting Manager or comparable accounting leadership experience.
  • Strong General Ledger accounting knowledge.
  • Experience with:
    • GAAP
    • Month-end close
    • Journal entries
    • Balance sheet reconciliations
    • Financial reporting
    • Revenue recognition
    • Variance analysis
  • Prior Shared Services, Accounting Operations, Revenue Accounting, or Order-to-Cash experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and developing high-performing teams.
