THE POSITION:

Environmental Compliance Manager will support all elements of environmental management and compliance from land acquisition through data center operations. The role will interact with numerous stakeholders throughout the life cycle of STACKโ€™s data centers. As a subject matter expert in environmental compliance, the successful candidate will be an effective, communicative leader, dedicated to collaboration and will excel in coordination, project management and environmental oversight. The successful candidate will focus on supporting the implementation, continuous improvements, and on-going maintenance of the Environmental Compliance Program and assist with local and federal compliance obligations. They will work with the Development Teams and provide technical support, guidance and resources that will enable compliance at each site. The position will report directly to the Director, Environment, Health & Safety and be an integral part of the EHS team. Supporting a comprehensive environmental management program within STACK Americas.

Oversee and manage due diligence activities including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, noise studies, air permitting, SWPPP, SPCC, Tier II. Review and communication of environmental consultant and internal deliverables. Effectively communicate recommendations cross-functionally to diverse stakeholders. Develop and deliver appropriate training related to environmental compliance and management. Provide technical support and expertise to Critical Operations to assist in meeting permit and compliance obligations for STACKโ€™s operating data center. Maintain knowledge related to current and changing environmental regulations and policies; and advise on appropriate strategies to support development efforts.

THE DETAILS:

Location: In market or within emerging market for STACK development. Preferably Northern VA. Travel: 15 - 35%

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7-10+ yearsโ€™ experience with environmental management.
  • Proficient with the management and oversight of multiple environmental due diligence, remediation, permitting, and compliance projects.
  • Must have working knowledge in a wide variety of environmental disciplines including Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments, noise studies, NEPA, SWPPP, SPCC, Tier II.
  • Experience in air permitting is required.
  • Experience in Data Center project development is preferred.
  • Experience with Virginia area Environmental Regulations is preferred.
  • Must be able to develop scopes of work, coordinate 3rd party consulting bids, manage projects, and review environmental reports and deliverables.
  • Experience implementing and managing ISO 14001 certifications is preferred.
