Responsibilities:
  • Update reports, records, bookkeeping systems, and other organizational tools to accurately report progress toward monthly insurance sales goals
  • Conduct meetings with new and potential clients and carefully listen to their individual circumstances in order to present the best insurance policies to meet their needs
  • Implement marketing strategies including, but not limited, to cold calling and networking to connect with potential clients while simultaneously maintaining a portfolio of current clients
  • Stay abreast of any changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for existing and prospective clients
  • Collaborate with policyholders to develop insurance risk management and other profiles that specify the best policies for their evolving insurance needs
  • Meet with individuals, families, and business owners to assess their financial needs, goals, and priorities.
  • Develop personalized financial strategies focused on protection, wealth accumulation, retirement planning, and estate conservation.
  • Educate clients on risk management solutions, life insurance, long-term care planning, and retirement income strategies.
  • Help business owners design solutions for key employee retention, business succession planning, executive benefits, and business protection.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through ongoing service and periodic financial reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through referrals, networking, and community involvement.
  • Stay current on financial products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with specialists and other professionals when appropriate to provide comprehensive financial solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of sales lead or accounting software is helpful
  • Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders
  • Candidates must have or be willing to get an insurance license
  • Candidates must have some computer experience, including the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required; customer service experience is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Enterprising mindset with a desire to build and grow a business.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Sales, business development, financial services, banking, insurance, real estate, or consulting experience is preferred but not required.
