The Risk Management Risk Consultant ensures Gibson’s reputation as a top risk management firm. He or she provides clients with consulting services for OSHA compliance, workers’ compensation and various safety issues. The Risk Consultant reinforces Gibson’s professional image by overseeing/preparing presentations and documents, as well as a variety of administrative tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

This is an overview of the primary responsibilities for this role. This is not a complete list of the role functions. All employees are responsible for assisting the organization with various duties as directed by management.

·         Provide consultation to assist clients in furthering their safety and risk management initiatives.

·         Identify consulting opportunities for new and existing clients.

·         Develop or refine consulting services to be delivered to client.

·         Manage client service plans, budget and stewardship reports.

·         Conduct site audits to identify hazards and compliance requirements.

·         Perform Workers’ Compensation assessments and evaluations of written program quality and effectiveness, including Machine Guarding, Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene Exposures, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Accident Investigation and Safety Training Curriculum

·         Provide technical assistance in the design and review of property programs including Hot Works, sprinkler impairments, storage, flammable liquids and others as needed.

·         Build customized Property Conservation programs.

·         Develop evacuation layouts.

·         Research and respond to client safety, risk management and compliance related inquiries.

·         Participate in new client prospecting presentations.

·         Assist with the writing and presentation of RFPs and consulting proposals.

·         Attend and oversee carrier visits to client sites.

·         Provide guidance and advocacy for carrier recommendation responses.

·         Write articles, blogs and communication content for marketing materials and client deliverables. 

·         Consistently ensures the flow of communications is timely and accurate with the client's representatives, Gibson/URA Companies internal staff, and the carriers involved.

·         Continue to enhance technical knowledge and meet licensing requirements.

·         Provide peer review for service and client deliverables.

·         Comply with PAR, legal and regulatory requirements.

·         Overnight travel may occur within the United States.

·         Other duties as assigned
