Job description

About Bindr

Bindr is a dating and community app built for the LGBTQIA+ community, with a thriving user base of 400,000+ members. We care deeply about giving our users a safe, welcoming, and well-supported experience — and that starts with great customer support.

The Role

We're looking for a part-time Customer Support Specialist to help maintain the support systems we already have in place. This is primarily a maintenance role: responding to user inquiries, working through tickets, and keeping our help resources up to date using Zendesk. The workflows are already established — we need a reliable, friendly person to keep them running smoothly.

This is a great opportunity for an internship, or for someone looking to break into customer-facing / customer success work and build hands-on experience.

What You'll Do

  • Respond to user inquiries and resolve tickets through Zendesk
  • Maintain and follow our existing support processes and macros
  • Escalate technical or sensitive issues to the right team members
  • Help keep help-center articles and canned responses current
  • Flag recurring issues and user feedback to the team

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on experience with Zendesk (or a similar helpdesk platform)
  • Clear, friendly, and empathetic written communication
  • Reliability and good judgment working independently
  • Comfort handling sensitive user situations with discretion
  • No formal degree required — attitude and communication skills matter most

Please Note

Bindr is an 18+ dating app. This role involves reviewing and responding to user reports and content that may be mature or sexually explicit in nature. We're looking for someone who is comfortable engaging with adult themes professionally and without judgment.
