Job description

We’re looking for a Workers’ Compensation Claims professional to support clients and internal teams within a retail insurance brokerage. This role acts as the bridge between clients, carriers, and claims adjusters—helping ensure claims are handled efficiently and clients feel supported throughout the process.
Location: Remote (Southern California)
Salary: $85,000 - $95,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on workers’ compensation claims
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers, adjusters, and third-party administrators (TPAs)
  • Monitor open claims and track status, reserves, and closures
  • Assist clients with claim reporting and documentation
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to help move claims toward resolution
  • Review loss runs and identify trends or concerns
  • Provide regular claim updates to clients and internal account teams
  • Support return-to-work programs and claim cost containment strategies
  • Participate in claim review meetings with clients and carriers
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in agency management systems

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of workers’ compensation claims or brokerage experience
  • Strong understanding of workers’ compensation claims process and terminology
  • Experience working with carriers, TPAs, and adjusters
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Proficiency with agency management systems (e.g., Applied EPIC is a plus)
  • Experience in a retail brokerage environment
  • Knowledge of multi-state workers’ compensation programs
  • Ability to analyze loss data and provide basic insights
