Experienced Wedding DJ

Pay: $500+ Per Event (Based on Experience & Performance)
Schedule: Fridays and weekends required
Location: Northwest Indiana & Chicagoland

Anomaly DJ & Photo is looking for an experienced Wedding DJ who can confidently run weddings and events from start to finish with minimal supervision.

This is not an entry-level position. We're seeking someone with proven wedding experience who is comfortable serving as both DJ and MC, managing timelines, coordinating with vendors, engaging guests, and keeping dance floors packed.

The ideal candidate has worked for another wedding DJ company and can provide professional references verifying their experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead weddings and events as both DJ and MC
  • Manage reception timelines and coordinate with vendors
  • Make professional announcements and introductions
  • Read crowds and adapt music selections accordingly
  • Maintain a high-energy, engaging atmosphere
  • Communicate professionally with clients before and during events
  • Set up and break down DJ equipment
  • Represent the company and brand professionally

Requirements

  • Previous wedding DJ experience required
  • Ability to provide references from a current or former DJ company
  • Strong microphone presence and public speaking skills
  • Experience running wedding receptions independently
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Ability to transport and lift DJ equipment
  • Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills
  • Friday and weekend availability

Preferred Qualifications

  • 50+ weddings performed as a lead DJ
  • Experience with wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions
  • Knowledge of modern, classic, and multicultural wedding music
