Job Description
As a Geotechnical Driller, you will be responsible for providing assistance to and working with drilling staff, senior technicians, surveyors, and construction managers. The Assistant Driller plays a vital role in collecting information in the field and capturing subsurface materials to better serve our clients for accurate geotechnical analyses. This is an entry level position, which will require a significant amount of travel and working year-round in all types of terrain and weather conditions. On the job training is provided for this niche position and there is opportunity for advancement as geotechnical drilling skills are mastered.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists drilling staff to perform inspection assignments under direct supervision.
  • Prepares daily reports and keeps accurate records of drilling activities according to pre-established guidelines
  • Assist in setting up and monitoring the safety of drilling operations
  • Works in all types of terrain and weather conditions

  • Must have high school diploma
  • Capable of lifting and carrying minimum 50lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain and maintain railroad and safety certifications.
  • Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and obtain a commercial driving license (CDL).
  • Has a willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel frequently both in state and out of state travel.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
