Position Overview:
Provive Wellness is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to join our Tennessee team. This is a field-based role built for a seasoned BD professional who knows how to cultivate referral relationships, open doors, and drive admissions. If you have a proven track record in behavioral health or addiction treatment business development and thrive on building meaningful partnerships in the community, we want to hear from you.
Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, you will serve as the face of Provive Wellness across Tennessee - connecting with healthcare providers, treatment centers, community organizations, and other key stakeholders to grow our referral network and ensure individuals get access to the care they need.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience:
    • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • At least 1 year of experience in business development, community outreach, or client relationship management (preferably in healthcare, mental health, or addiction treatment).
    • Experience in a field-based role with direct client interaction and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities
Field Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, physicians, hospitals, treatment centers, and community organizations across Tennessee
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for referral sources, fostering trust and consistent communication to drive admissions
  • Conduct regular in-person visits to healthcare facilities and community partners to promote Provive Wellness' full service continuum
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers in behavioral health and addiction treatment settings

Referral Network Growth
  • Proactively develop new referral sources and strategic partnerships throughout the region
  • Strengthen existing partner relationships to ensure accurate, consistent referrals
  • Leverage CRM tools to track, manage, and grow the referral network

Admissions Collaboration
  • Partner closely with the admissions team to ensure smooth, timely transitions for referred clients
  • Assist in coordinating the referral process, including documentation and client needs assessment
  • Participate in in-person meetings and calls with prospective clients and families when needed
  • Coordinate with the call center as needed to support intake inquiries and ensure a seamless experience for prospective clients

Market Awareness & Reporting
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and the evolving Tennessee healthcare landscape
  • Track and report on referral activity and admissions data, providing actionable insights to leadership
  • Share intelligence with the VP of Business Development to inform strategy and outreach priorities

Brand & Strategy Support
  • Collaborate with leadership on outreach campaigns and initiatives that strengthen Provive Wellness' presence in Tennessee
  • Represent Provive Wellness at community events, conferences, and networking opportunities
  • Contribute ideas and field insights to continuously improve business development strategy

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years of business development experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or a related healthcare field - this is not an entry-level position
  • Demonstrated track record of building referral networks and driving admissions in a field-based BD role
  • Deep understanding of the behavioral health landscape, including levels of care (PHP, IOP, OP), sober living, MAT, and adolescent services

Skills & Abilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - you can connect with clinicians, executives, and community members alike
  • Self-directed and highly motivated; comfortable working independently in the field with minimal oversight
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a territory, prioritize relationships, and meet targets
  • Proficient with CRM platforms for tracking referrals, activity, and pipeline
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder and mental health treatment is strongly preferred
