The Data Preparation Technician I readies customer design files for high-tech photomask manufacturing while reviewing and verifying digital data for accuracy and compliance. This role follows established procedures, works with technical systems, and develops proficiency with tools such as UNIX commands, data workflows, and industry-specific software. The technician prepares, converts, and verifies production data to ensure accurate and efficient processing. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in a collaborative production environment with opportunities to build and expand technical skills over time.


Location: Boise, ID (US). This is an on-site position, and we are not open to remote candidates at this time.


Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 3:00pm - 12:00am OR Tuesday - Saturday 3:00pm - 12:00am


Responsibilities

  • Under supervision, prepare and process customer design files for mask writing, ensuring data accuracy and completeness using approved software and procedures.
  • Follow documented procedures for standard job setups, retrofits, and data conversions.
  • Verify and enter customer specifications and requirements in the manufacturing execution systems.
  • Learn and develop technical knowledge of UNIX commands, data systems, and photomask preparation tools.
  • Investigate and resolve data-related discrepancies to ensure production accuracy.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and complete documentation in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Organize and manage digital files to ensure efficient workflows and data integrity.
  • Adhere to data security and confidentiality requirements.
  • Participate in on-the-job training to develop knowledge of company processes, software systems, and photomask terminology.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of computer systems, software tools, and network concepts: familiarity with UNIX preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Good problem-solving, organizational skills with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and ask clarifying questions when needed.
  • Demonstrate initiative by seeking guidance and training opportunities.
  • Must be eligible to obtain Trusted/Secure clearance as required.

Experience:

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in data processing, UNIX computer technology, or semiconductor-related work preferred


Education:

  • Minimum High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
