A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING . . .
  • Monitor weekly cash activity ensuring prompt and accurate posting of all cash transactions
  • Reconcile all corporate bank and investment accounts monthly
  • Review and process weekly market sales reports, posting them to the G/L system
  • Process weekly Ramp credit card transactions and Depot and internal transfers
  • Assist with compiling and organizing donations per IRS guidelines
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
  • Assist in the review of quarterly market inventory work papers documenting physical inventory counts
  • Maintain and reconcile GL accounts for prepaid assets and accrued liabilities
  • Maintain compliance with WA State unclaimed property tracking and reporting guidelines
  • Complete monthly co-op billings, provide monthly receivable report, and assist in collection of overdue amounts as appropriate.
  • Assist as needed in generation and reporting of vendor 1099's
  • Assist in the collection of new vendor paperwork.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
  • Assist in documenting procedures and maintaining accounting policies
  • Keep up on industry trends, standards and changes
  • Ensure the dissemination and adherence to all company and department policies
  • Maintain adherence to sustainability programs and all security and safety policies
  • Adhere to proper waste management and recycling procedures
  • Provide and role model attitude of service to staff and guests

THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF . . .
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Staff Accountant in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Dynamics GP highly desired
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and demonstrated ability to learn and become proficient with new applications
  • Experience working with accounting systems and financial reporting tools
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Experience in a multi-location or operationally focused business
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operations teams
  • Must have ability to summarize large amounts of data into easily understood and visually appealing formats.
  • Experience with month-end reporting and managing W9, W8, AP Aging, 1099, and 1042-S forms.
  • Willingness to work weekends and extra hours as needed
