JOB DESCRIPTION
The Personal Trainer is responsible for delivering a professional, results-driven Personal Training experience that helps members establish goals, build consistency, achieve measurable progress, and remain engaged in their fitness journey. Personal Trainers are more than session providers: they develop meaningful client relationships, deliver high-quality coaching, create individualized training programs, and maintain the accountability necessary to help clients achieve long-term results. The Personal Trainer works under the direction of the Personal Training Director and is accountable for personal training capacity, client enrollment and conversion, client retention, and personal revenue growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The following are essential functions of this position. Essential functions are the fundamental duties of the position that the Company considers necessary to the role, performed with or without reasonable accommodation. This list is representative and not exhaustive.
Client Delivery & Coaching
•Deliver professional, engaging, results-driven Personal Training sessions consistent with Company programming standards.
•Create individualized training programs designed around each client’s goals, abilities, history, and limitations.
•Regularly evaluate client progress and adjust programming as client needs and goals evolve.
•Maintain consistent communication and accountability with clients inside and outside of scheduled sessions.
•Conduct scheduled monthly results reviews with each client consistent with Company standards.
Client Acquisition & Enrollment
•Conduct CrunchONE Kickoff sessions and convert qualifying sessions into Fixed Recurring Personal Training agreements.
•Participate in Company-approved consultations, Training Days, assessments, and other opportunities to connect members with Personal Training.
•Prospect on the training floor and build relationships with members to grow a personal client base.
•Generate referrals from existing clients.
Client Retention & Results
•Maintain personal client retention and client lifespan performance against Company targets.
•Proactively identify and re-engage at-risk clients, including clients who are past due, not logging nutrition or programming, or not scheduled to train.
•Ensure clients receive proper documentation, including client folders and accurately logged program and meal-plan records, in accordance with Company standards.
Retail & Supplementation
•Support client results through Company-approved retail and supplementation programs (e.g., dotFIT, PES/PE Science) in accordance with Company-established targets.

Compliance, Systems & Records

•Accurately record all hours worked, sessions, and events in Workday and Company-designated systems, and take all required meal and rest periods.
•Maintain all required certifications and qualifications, including current CPR and AED certification and applicable NASM or other Company-approved certifications, and keep credentials current in Company systems (e.g., ClubConnect).
•Complete all required onboarding and ongoing coursework through Company-designated platforms (e.g., MindTickle, ClubConnect).
•Follow Company policy on client payment types and billing practices, and promptly report suspected falsification of records, theft, or other loss-prevention concerns.
•Support and maintain Company cleanliness and facility standards within Personal Training areas.
•Perform additional duties as assigned by the Company based on business needs.

Experience & Qualifications
•Prior Personal Training or coaching experience preferred; entry-level candidates with a current qualifying certification will be considered.
•Demonstrated ability to build and retain a client base preferred.
•Trainer level and applicable Session Serviced Premium rate are determined by education score, certification, and verified Crunch experience as set out in the applicable Compensation Plan.
Education & Certification
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Current nationally accredited Personal Training certification required (NASM or other certification on the Crunch Fitness Certification Approval List).
•Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification required.
•ClubConnect education requirements completed and maintained as established by the Company.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
•Ability to move throughout club floors and rooms and communicate effectively with employees, members, and the public.
•Regularly required to demonstrate, instruct, and physically participate in proper physical fitness activities, techniques, and procedures while servicing Personal Training sessions.
•Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds, and to spot and assist clients during resistance training.
•Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and remain on the training floor for extended periods.
Travel Requirements
This position is based at a single assigned club location. Occasional travel may be required for Company meetings, training, and events.
Work Schedule
This is a non-exempt, hourly position, available on a full-time or part-time basis. Scheduling is set in advance by the Personal Training Director based on client demand and the operational needs of the location, and typically includes early mornings, evenings, and weekends. All hours worked must be accurately recorded, and all required meal and rest periods must be taken.
