Summary: We are seeking an entry-level Telecommunications Technician to monitor, operate, install, and maintain telecommunications systems and equipment. This role ensures systems meet business needs and objectives while performing troubleshooting to resolve hardware or software issues. The technician will also assist in telecom system installations for new company facilities.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain telecommunications systems and equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment.
  • Assist in the installation of telecom systems for new company facilities.
  • Perform telecom network software installations and maintain network database for system maintenance and billing support.
  • Read engineering drawings and terminate cables and grounding systems.

Required Skills:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 0 to 1 year of IT work experience with a basic understanding of telecommunications and multi-platform environments.
  • Knowledge of data scopes, patch panels, modems, and analog/digital signaling systems.
  • Understanding of T-1 network architecture and operating procedures.
  • Familiarity with line control techniques and communication access methodology.
