What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response protocols at a technology, media, or telecommunications location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials or visitor authorization when required, and report suspicious behavior or unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
  • Support daily operations by completing logs, incident reports, and other assigned documentation, while communicating clearly with clients, guests, and/or team members regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
