Role Summary

The Maintenance Technician I is an entry-level technician responsible for supporting basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and facility systems. This role focuses on learning core skills, completing preventive maintenance, and assisting higher-level technicians. Success requires reliability, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced team environment.

Schedule: RFC D410B (Wednesday-Saturday 6:00am-4:30pm)

Role Responsibilities
  • Perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs under supervision
  • Assist with maintenance of conveyors, packaging equipment, and facility systems
  • Support troubleshooting of jams, sensor issues, and simple equipment faults
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks and inspections
  • Replace basic components (sensors, belts, bearings, pneumatic parts)
  • Follow SOPs and safety procedures during all maintenance activities
  • Read basic schematics and documentation
  • Document work orders and maintenance activities in CMMS
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
  • Support senior technicians on complex repairs and projects

Role Qualifications

  • Maintain acceptable attendance and must be able to work overtime as required

Physical Demands

  • Stand and walk throughout a shift 
  • Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods 
  • Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds 
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. pallet jack, box cutter, carts) which requires coordinated movements
