Job description

eDiscovery & Litigation Support Analyst- Remote, FLORIDA-based
Department: Legal Operations
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Remote- Florida
Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 / year
Description
At Jimerson Birr, our team has accepted the lasting responsibility of protecting our clients' rights, businesses, properties, investments, and finances. Our professionals are integral, trusted advisers and advocates in both established and emerging businesses, giving our clients insights into legal and business considerations that guide prudent decision-making. We work with some of the world's most respected and well-established businesses, start-up visionaries, and individuals looking to overcome challenges.
Our award-winning law firm is at its best when it helps clients set measurable goals and develops multi-level strategies to achieve them. Our lawyers are trained to take ownership of our clients' challenges by getting close to the problem and close to the people who can benefit from the solutions we provide. We're business-oriented lawyers equally comfortable as community leaders, private transaction counselors or courtroom advocates. We pride ourselves on our people and their collective achievements. Besides our long list of legal industry honors, the firm has a track record spanning over a decade winning local, state and national awards for being a "Best Company to Work For," "Fastest Growing Company," and "Best law firms in America." For all current career openings, firm history, frequently asked questions, and professional development tracks please check out our careers page by clicking this link Careers: View Current Opportunities.
Our litigation teams rely on strong systems, clean data, and precise execution to deliver results. We're seeking an eDiscovery & Litigation Support Analyst who thrives in structured environments, enjoys working with technology, and takes ownership of building efficient, modern discovery workflows.
In this role, the eDiscovery and Litigation Support Analyst will own both sides of what that requires: building and managing the discovery infrastructure in Everlaw, and conducting the high-volume document review that drives case strategy. This is a mid-level, execution-focused role; not advisory, not administrative. You'll set up the platform, run the workflows, and get into the documents!
This is a remote position open to candidates located in Florida. Periodic in-person training or team collaboration in our Jacksonville office may be required on a quarterly or as-needed basis.
This role sits at the intersection of law and technology. You'll support attorneys throughout the discovery lifecycle - from data collection and preservation to review and production - while continuously improving how we manage and leverage information. If you take pride in accuracy, enjoy solving technical problems, and are excited about how tools like AI are transforming legal workflows, this is a strong fit.
Who You Are
You're detail-oriented, methodical, and dependable. You prefer working with systems, data, and processes, and you take pride in getting things right. You're comfortable working independently and enjoy owning projects from start to finish.
You think logically and communicate clearly; especially when translating technical processes into practical guidance for attorneys or clients. While you're not driven by constant interaction, you collaborate well in focused, purposeful ways.
You're also naturally curious about technology. You stay current on new tools, are open to adopting AI-driven solutions, and look for ways to improve efficiency through smarter systems and automation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Platform & Systems - Own the Discovery Process
  • Configure and administer Everlaw workspaces: data ingestion, processing, tagging structures, saved searches, and production workflows
  • Build and manage review batches, coding panels, issue tags, and privilege logs within Everlaw
  • Develop and implement search term protocols, concept clusters, and analytics-assisted review workflows
  • Handle ESI collection, legal hold administration, and chain-of-custody documentation
  • Manage productions end-to-end: Bates stamping, redactions, load file preparation, and delivery
  • Evaluate and optimize discovery workflows across the full EDRM lifecycle
  • Coordinate with outside vendors, IT, and opposing counsel on data exchange and protocol compliance
  • Stay current on Everlaw updates, AI-assisted features, and emerging eDiscovery tools and practices

Document Review
  • Conduct first-pass and targeted review on active commercial litigation matters - construction disputes, business litigation, and creditor/debtor cases
  • Apply consistent issue coding, responsiveness determinations, and privilege calls at high volume without sacrificing accuracy
  • Assist attorneys with exhibit preparation, deposition binders, and trial-ready document sets
  • Draft and maintain document review protocols, coding guides, and QC checklists
  • Flag patterns, key documents, and anomalies to attorneys as review progresses

Support Attorneys & Cases
  • Collaborate with attorneys on document review strategy, organization, and production.
  • Assist with document-intensive litigation tasks, including redactions, summaries, and exhibit preparation.
  • Maintain clear, organized files and ensure all materials are accessible and properly managed.

Drive Systems & Process Improvement
  • Evaluate and optimize document management workflows and discovery processes.
  • Support and implement eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, DISCO).
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Partner with vendors and internal teams to enhance tools, systems, and overall performance.

WHAT YOU BRING
Required
  • 3-5 years of hands-on eDiscovery or litigation support experience, ideally in a law firm or legal services environment
  • Direct experience with Everlaw or comparable platforms (Relativity, DISCO) - you know how to build the workspace, not just navigate it
  • Demonstrated experience managing ESI through the full EDRM lifecycle: preservation, collection, processing, review, and production
  • Familiarity with federal and Florida state court discovery rules, ESI protocols, and production standards
  • High-volume document review experience with consistent accuracy - this is a core part of the role
  • Strong technical aptitude: you learn new tools quickly, troubleshoot independently, and look for ways to build smarter workflows
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the discipline to maintain accuracy across simultaneous matters
  • Clear written and verbal communication - comfortable translating technical processes for attorneys

Preferred
  • Everlaw certification or significant Everlaw-specific platform experience
  • CEDS (Certified E-Discovery Specialist) or RCA certification
  • Background in process documentation, workflow automation, or vendor management
