Job description

We are seeking an inquisitive, entry-level Software System Support Engineer to join our team focused on wearable IoT devices and data systems. In this role, you will serve as a critical bridge between product support and system analytics. You will focus on ensuring our full data pipeline, from wearable device to backend database, runs smoothly by utilizing data analytics to proactively identify abnormalities and drive solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform root-cause analysis across the full data pipeline (wearable devices, mobile clients, and backend databases) to resolve customer-reported issues.
  • Build and maintain metrics and dashboards to track system health, monitor data flow, and pinpoint abnormalities.
  • Analyze system and sensor data to identify trends, quantify problems, and guide engineering solutions.
  • Develop internal debugging and support tools to streamline the troubleshooting process.
  • Work with project managers and engineering teams to report issues, communicate risks, and suggest product improvements.
  • Maintain clear records in bug-tracking systems and present technical findings to the team.
  • Provide occasional off-hours coverage as needed to ensure critical system stability and resolve high-priority escalations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical findings to cross-functional teams.
  • An ownership mindset with a natural curiosity for how system variables impact overall product performance.
  • Experience using Python or similar languages for scripting, data analysis, and building internal tools.
  • Familiarity with SQL for database querying, data pipeline analysis, and backend troubleshooting.
  • Experience creating dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Basic understanding of connected device ecosystems, including wearables, Bluetooth, and cloud architecture.
