RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Analyst/Tableau Developer in Maryland Heights, MO.
Overview:
Our client is seeking a Data Analyst/Tableau Developer with an investigative mentality. The group ranges from junior to mid-level talent, and we're now looking to bring in a heavy hitter - someone with deep expertise, particularly in Tableau and data analytics, to set the standard.
What You'll Do:
* Design and develop end-to-end dashboards using Tableau, translating complex data into clear insights
* Build and write custom SQL queries to support reporting needs
* Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, especially around: IT system health (e.g., response time, errors, etc.); Business impact analysis of system issues on customer orders; Code quality metrics; Numerous ad hoc reporting requests
* Define and implement reporting standards and best practices across the team
* Act as a thought leader in data analysis, promoting curiosity, ownership, and process improvement
* Present insights to stakeholders and support the storytelling behind the data
* Pivot quickly to adapt to new priorities in a fast-moving environment
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong SQL skills - Ability to write custom queries from scratch (CTEs/window functions not required but nice)
* Tableau expertise - Able to build dashboards from scratch; familiarity with Tableau Public is a plus
* Analytical mindset - Investigative, curious, and proactive in problem-solving
* Strong communication skills - Comfortable asking questions, presenting work, and engaging stakeholders
* Accountability and independence - Ability to take ownership of projects and follow through without handholding
Nice-to-Have:
* Splunk experience - Especially working with SPL, creating and interpreting ad hoc reports, and dashboard views
* Familiarity with IT systems or monitoring tools is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
