About the role
As a Structured Cabling Project Manager at CS Erickson, you will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and successful execution of cabling projects. You will be responsible for overseeing cabling installations, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget and meeting the highest quality standards. Your expertise in cabling systems, project management, and team leadership will be instrumental in delivering exceptional structured cabling solutions to our clients.
What you'll do
  • Develop comprehensive project plans for cabling installations, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and allocate resources, including cabling technicians and equipment, to optimize project efficiency.
  • Monitor project budgets, control costs, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure financial success.
  • Ensure that all cabling installations meet industry standards and client expectations for quality and performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing inquiries, and resolving concerns.
  • Lead, motivate, and provide guidance to cabling project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, preventing delays or cost overruns.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project reports.
  • Project Closure: Ensure the successful completion of cabling projects, including final inspections, client handover, and post-project evaluations.

Qualifications
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Safety-conscious with a commitment to compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • BICSI Technician certification or working towards.
  • Proficiency in structured cabling, equipment, and systems.
  • Familiarity with structured cabling industry standards and best practices.
  • RCDD certification preferred.
  • PMP certification or relevant project management certification is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field experience preferred.
