Job description

Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer Creo Cabling
Location: Arden, NC (Onsite)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with strong expertise in Creo Cabling and electrical routing design to support engineering activities for turbocharger and powertrain-related systems. The engineer will work onsite with the customer engineering team in Arden, NC and support development, modification, and release of electrical harness/cabling designs within Creo environment.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical packaging, wiring harness routing, connector selection, and Creo schematic/cabling modules within automotive or industrial product development environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and modify electrical harness and cabling designs using Creo Cabling / Creo Schematics.
  • Create and maintain electrical routing, connector definitions, harness assemblies, and related documentation.
  • Support integration of electrical components within mechanical assemblies.
  • Coordinate closely with mechanical, manufacturing, and validation teams to ensure robust cable routing and packaging.
  • Generate and maintain 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering release documentation.
  • Support design reviews, issue resolution, and engineering change activities.
  • Ensure compliance with customer standards, design guidelines, and quality requirements.
  • Assist with prototype builds and troubleshooting activities as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design and cabling/harness development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Creo Cabling / Creo Schematics.
  • Experience with electrical routing, harness packaging, and connector integration.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with automotive or industrial product development processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Arden, NC.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in turbocharger, powertrain, automotive, or heavy vehicle applications.
  • Knowledge of wiring harness manufacturing considerations.
  • Familiarity with PLM systems such as Windchill.
  • Exposure to prototype support and validation activities.
