Title: Initiative Clerk - Entry Level | Phoenix AZ | Arizona State Agency | 20 Openings

Pay Rate: $16/hr to $20/hr

Job Type: Contract

Start Date: June 29, 2026

End Date: July 31, 2026

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm | Some weekends may be required | 40 hours per week

Location: Phoenix AZ - 100% Onsite


About the Role:

SunSoft Online is seeking Entry Level Initiative Clerks for a contract opportunity with an Arizona State Agency in Phoenix.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone seeking short term government experience or looking to get a foot in the door with an Arizona state agency.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and process initiative petitions and related documents
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems
  • Support election services operations
  • Apply basic knowledge of policy and government procedures
  • Maintain objectivity and nonpartisan approach in all work
  • Perform general office and administrative duties

Requirements:

  • High school diploma minimum
  • Basic knowledge of policy, government, public administration, or law
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional office conduct
  • Local Phoenix AZ only - must be able to commute daily
  • US Citizen or Green Card - no sponsorship
  • Background check required
  • Must be available June 29 through July 31

Preferred:

  • Coursework in public policy, public administration, government or law
  • Demonstrated interest in public service
  • Experience in office or administrative settings
