Role Overview

Our organization is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our team at Christian Hospital, located at 11133 Dunn Rd., St. Louis, MO. This position operates on a day PRN shift, meaning you will work as needed.

Position Details
  • Certification: ARRT required
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide patient care and assist with departmental workflow
    • Prepare patients for MRI examinations
    • Conduct MRI safety screenings
    • Perform MRI scans
  • Advanced Modality Technologist Role
  • Location Proximity: Close to Alton, Godfrey, Edwardsville, Collinsville, Granite City, Bridgeton, Saint Ann, Roxana, Wood River, Spanish Lake, Bethalto, Florissant, and Black Jack.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Licensure: Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or MR certification
  • Experience: Candidates with backgrounds in any of the following areas may be suitable:
    • Radiology students nearing graduation
    • MR, CT, RT, X-ray, Radiology, Medical Imaging
    • Entry-level Radiologic Technologists, Radiographers, or Imaging Technologists

Role Purpose

The MRI Technologist is responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality, which may include Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional procedures, Mammography, Bone Density, or Cardiac Catheterization, for both adult and pediatric patients to aid in diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures
  • Independently perform studies, including on-call situations and portable exams as required
Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent from a trade school
  • Experience: No prior experience necessary
  • Supervisory Experience: Not required
  • Licenses & Certifications: IEMA - Illinois only (excluding MRI), RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Relevant experience in the field
  • Licenses & Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Intravenous Therapy
