Job description

Position Title: Ecommerce Manager

Reports To: Director of Ecommerce

The Ecommerce Manager will be responsible for overseeing ecommerce development, compliance, and merchandising operations. He/she will manage the ecommerce support team as well as the day-to-day tasks for the ecommerce department. Additional responsibilities include, email marketing, Website QA, Functionality Testing, Content management, and operating with SEO & Accessibility Best Practices. Direct reports will include a Project Coordinator and Catalog Specialist.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

Merchandising & Catalog

  • Collaborate with Support and Merchandising teams to successfully launch products and corresponding marketing campaigns (email, social, on-site). Share newsletter internally and externally as necessary.
  • Work closely with Photography and Copywriting teams to ensure timely publishing of web content.
  • Maintain and be responsible for product catalog accuracy (copy, photography, category & navigation, metadata, content optimization, MAP policy).
  • Support on-site and off-site marketing campaigns including creating landing pages, executing emails, deploying promotions.

Product Management

  • Collaborate with Project Coordinator to organize and execute web development projects. Evolve project workflow as necessary.
  • Work alongside various teams internally and externally (Creative, SEO, Marketing, Development) to document functionality requirements, oversee development, perform user acceptance testing, and deploy new functionality.
  • Lead ecommerce calls and participate in planning, development, and project management calls as needed.
  • Work closely with Project Manager to execute the Jimmy Jazz Stores Raffle program.

Compliance

  • Ensure search engine optimization best practices are followed and adjust operations as necessary to achieve overall SEO goals.
  • Ongoing learning and implementation of SEO best practices; titles & descriptions, collection page maintenance, URL redirects, on-page page schema and schema markup.
  • MAP Policy execution & compliance.
  • Accessibility (ADA) compliance.
  • Implement privacy (CCPA) compliance including 'request for removal'.
  • Sales Tax Compliance & QA.

Relationship Management

  • Manage 3rd party tools and vendors to accomplish weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals.

Team Building / Leadership

  • Participate in building and directing a team of ecommerce professionals that can effectively help develop and execute creative ecommerce solutions.
  • Help to develop and communicate Knowledge Base articles across various ecommerce categories.

  • Collaboration: Asana, Wrike, Slack, Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Cloud.

Qualifications:

  • 2 - 3 years experience with above tasks required.
  • Experience working with and configuring Shopify Plus preferred.
  • Ability to work across various Commerce, Reporting, and Fulfillment systems.
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate basic HTML, CSS, & JSON.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
