E-Commerce Manager (Shopify) - Remote

Scriveiner London

Remote

Full-time

Posted 20 days ago

Job description

ABOUT SCRIVEINER LONDON
Scriveiner is an award-winning British luxury brand specialising in writing instruments and premium accessories.
Founded in 2019, our products are used by millions of customers worldwide, available via major online marketplaces and from more than 1,000 retail stores around the globe. Our mission is simple: to create beautiful, high-quality products that people love to use every day.
The company has grown rapidly and has been recognised with numerous awards, including the King's Award for Enterprise, The Sunday Times 100, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, and multiple international design awards.
Scriveiner is the flagship brand of Infinity Brands, a founder-led business focused on building premium consumer brands with global reach. We are high-growth, entrepreneurial and hands-on, and we are focused on delivering exceptional products and customer experiences.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Scriveiner is entering its next chapter: building from a well-established, award-winning brand into a globally recognised name in accessible luxury. The Shopify channel is central to that ambition. It is where customers discover the brand, where product quality speaks for itself, and where the commercial engine runs. Getting it right is not optional.
We are hiring a Shopify & Ecommerce Manager to own this channel with the authority and accountability it deserves. That means a flawless catalogue, a live and active retailer pipeline, reporting that tells a clear story every week, and the operational instinct to spot a problem before it becomes one. You own the system, and you keep it running.
Scriveiner operates and sells globally, and as the brand expands into new markets and product categories, the scope of this role will grow with it. If you want deep ecommerce ownership at a brand that moves fast and invests properly, this is it.
Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL OWNBring deep Shopify expertise into the business: we have knowledge in-house, but we are looking for someone who can come in, identify what we have missed, and teach us.
Own the Shopify catalogue end to end: product uploads, descriptions, imagery, pricing, tagging, and collections, with a zero-tolerance standard for accuracy across all live listings.
Conduct regular catalogue audits to maintain 100% data integrity and resolve any discrepancies between Shopify and wider operational records before they become visible to customers.
Own and maintain the retailer outreach tracker, keeping all pipeline data live and current so no relationship goes cold and the Head of Marketing always has a clear view of what is moving.
Draft and send trade communications to prospective and existing retailers, written to Scriveiner brand standards, not to a generic template.
Build and maintain weekly ecommerce dashboards and produce a clear, action-oriented performance report every week, autonomously and without prompting.
Flag performance anomalies, trends, and opportunities proactively: the business should hear about a problem from you before it surfaces elsewhere.
Coordinate asset creation and localisation for new market launches, managing timelines, liaising with designers and translators, and ensuring all requirements land ahead of agreed launch windows.
Coordinate with the creative and brand team to ensure all product assets meet quality standards before going live.
WHO YOU AREEssential - you must have this
  • Hands-on Shopify management experience: you have run a live store and understand catalogue management, product uploads, pricing, and data accuracy in practice. We expect you to identify gaps in how we currently use the platform and close them.
  • Exceptional organisational ability that closes loops without prompting. You track your own work, know what is outstanding, and get things finished.
  • Confidence with data: comfortable building dashboards, maintaining trackers, and presenting performance in a way that tells a clear, actionable story.
  • Strong written English, capable of drafting trade communications and brand-consistent copy that does not need a round of editing before it goes out.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams without losing detail across any of them.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach: you improve systems as well as run them.
  • AI-literate and comfortable using tools to work more efficiently.

Desirable - it would strengthen your application if you have
  • Experience managing Amazon product listings alongside Shopify.
  • Experience in wholesale, retail account management, or trade marketing. You understand how retailer relationships work in practice.
  • Exposure to multi-market or international marketing operations, including asset localisation.
  • Background in a premium, lifestyle, or gifting brand where catalogue accuracy and brand standards are non-negotiable.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
In this role, you will be successful when:
  • The Shopify catalogue is 100% accurate at all times: every product live, correctly described, correctly priced, with no gaps or discrepancies.
  • The retailer outreach tracker is live and current, with no conversations going cold and every pipeline contact properly followed up.
  • The weekly ecommerce report is produced every week, on time, without being asked, and gives the business a clear picture of performance.
  • New market asset coordination runs on schedule, with all creative and localisation requirements delivered ahead of launch windows.
  • Issues are flagged before they need to be caught by someone else.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
  • Head of Marketing: direct line manager. You free them from operational bottlenecks and keep every system running without escalation.
  • Creative / Brand team: coordinate on asset production, product imagery, and brand-consistent communications.
  • Ops / Warehousing: coordinate Shopify inventory alignment.
  • Retail partners and prospects: day-to-day trade communication and outreach administration.
  • Founders: occasional visibility on pipeline and reporting outputs.

Benefits
WHY JOINA brand with real proof: King's Award for Enterprise, multiple international design awards, highly profitable, well-resourced, fast-growing, and with millions of customers worldwide.
Full ownership of the Shopify channel at a brand that is growing fast and investing properly in its ecommerce infrastructure.
The opportunity to identify what is missing and build it: this role is not just about running the existing system, it is about improving it.
A growing product portfolio across multiple categories, with new ranges and markets in the pipeline, meaning the scope of the role expands as the business does.
A lean, entrepreneurial team where good work is visible and recognised.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS£30,000 - £50,000 base salary per annum, dependent on experience.
Fully remote position
Some international travel required (frequency to be agreed based on business needs and market priorities).
The tools and support you need to do the job properly, in a well-resourced and highly profitable business.
Welcome gift: a curated selection of Scriveiner products.
