Job description
Nye Ford is seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Service Technician to join our growing service department. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or continue their automotive career in a dealership environment while learning from an experienced team.
In this role, you’ll assist with routine maintenance and basic repair work while receiving hands-on training and opportunities for career advancement through Ford training programs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, fluid checks, and basic brake services
- Assist experienced technicians with vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs
- Complete multi-point vehicle inspections and document findings accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Test-drive vehicles when necessary under dealership guidelines
- Follow manufacturer recommendations, dealership standards, and safety procedures
- Use dealership tools and equipment properly and responsibly
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members
- Continue developing technical skills through Ford and dealership training programs
- Ability to commute to 1479 Genesee St, Oneida, NY 13421 (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Previous automotive experience, technical school training, or personal mechanical experience preferred
- Willingness to learn and grow in the automotive industry
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair is a plus
- NY State Inspector License is a plus
- ASE certifications are a plus, or willingness to work toward certification
- $20-$22, based on experience
