Safety Coordinator HSE (Entry Level)
 
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a dedicated Site Safety Coordinator to support safety operations at our various company’s project sites. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting field supervisors and crews throughout daily operations. This will require traveling to Connecticut, starting at the end of the month of June. 

Pay Rate
$30 per hour

Schedule and Hours
This role begins with site-specific training on June 8, 2026, followed by full-time field work beginning June 24 through approximately September. The candidate must be available for the full duration of the project. 
June 8: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (site-specific training + in Houston, TX)
June 24 – approx. end of September: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., 6–7 days/week
  • First couple of weeks: 6-day workweeks
  • Once gas line is shut down: 7-day workweeks

Safety Coordinator HSE Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct Daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) at the start of each morning shift and review with employees throughout the day as needed.
  • Deliver site-specific safety orientations for all visitors.
  • Facilitate Toolbox Talks when necessary.
  • Perform weekly site safety inspections and audits.
  • Monitor work activities for compliance with the JSA and established safety procedures.
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority when unsafe acts or conditions are identified.
  • Complete incident and accident reporting, including investigation and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate logs of employee hours for safety statistical reporting.
  • Prepare and submit any required safety reporting to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Manage inventory of PPE (gloves, high-visibility vests, safety glasses).
  • Inspect and verify that Fire Retardant Clothing (FRC) meets client requirements.
  • Set up and maintain First Aid facilities on site.

Safety Coordinator HSE Qualifications and Requirements
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification
  • CPR / First Aid / AED Certification
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work extended hours and a demanding schedule
  • Experience in industrial, construction, or pipeline environments preferred
  • Drug screening and background check
