Job description

Accounting Assistant at Shiel Sexton

The Accounting Assistant position with Shiel Sexton is an entry level accounting position which requires proficiency in general accounting, a high level of detail, accuracy, and timeliness with strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritizing abilities. The successful candidate will have experience in accounts payable and process improvement.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Accurate and timely routing of accounts payables
  • Review and reconciliation of vendor statements
  • Entry level accounts payable and expense report entry
  • General support for project accounting team
  • Using independent judgement and discretion to identify problems and making recommendations for solutions

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years experience in accounts payable
  • Experience in ERP Accounting System (Vista Viewpoint preferred)
