Job description

An Entry Level Project Engineer job in Indianapolis, IN is currently available at Belcan. This job is a full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a bachelor"s degree in a recognized engineering field from an accredited institution. In this job, you will provide technical execution and project leadership for an Engineering team to progress gas turbine engine component changes through the gated design review process. You will be responsible for project schedule, planning, parts forecasting, risk management and coordination of all the technical activities aimed at assuring project accuracy and budget from conception to completion. Gas turbine experience is preferred. Due to the nature of the work begin performed, US Citizenship is required.
Job Duties:
*Development of project schedule utilizing MS Project.
*Determine project tasks and estimates by collaborating with cross-functional team.
*Present reviews on completed requirements, schedule, and project status to program stakeholders to obtain approval for review gates.
*Communicate project status and progress to both internal team and customer.
*Maintain project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems to ensure that customer Milestones are met.
*Control project costs by monitoring actual costs and technical progress, and update the project work package as appropriate utilizing Earned Value Management techniques.
*Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
*Ensure project risks are documented and mitigation plans developed.
*Write reports and correspondence. Present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
*Perform other such duties as required.
Required:
*B.S. degree in a recognized engineering field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
*Recommended previous project engineering experience, plus task supervision of multi-disciplined team of designers and engineers.
*Experience in the field of gas turbine engines is desired.
*Experience implementing corporate policies and procedures related to task execution.
*Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
*Proficiency in Earned Value Management is desired.
*Knowledgable in PowerBI.
*Ability to write technical reports and correspondence including customer reports.
*Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Preferred:
*Gas turbine experience.
*Project Management experience.
*Experience with PowerBI dashboard creation and maintenance.
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $60,000 to $70,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
