You'll Be Responsible For :

  • Accountable for supporting the risk management performance and effective implementation of risk framework(s)/strategy(s).

  • Contributes to team performance, driving performance and results, whilst delivering performance management, technical development and coaching.

  • Builds strong professional relationships with Client/Client representative(s).

  • Provides advice and support to Project team in the administration of the risk process, particularly with respect to the risks to achievement of key objectives and the escalation of risk(s).

  • Facilitations and delivery of risk workshops.

  • Works with Project Manager to recognise opportunities and mitigations to minimise risk exposure.

  • Responsible for supporting the risk management performance on their assigned commission(s).

  • Effective implementation of risk framework(s)/strategy(s) on assigned commission(s).

  • Accountable for ensuring risk mitigation action plans are developed, owners appointed and that project plans are updated and monitored.

  • Supports the delivery of Project Quantitative Risk Analysis (cost and time).

  • Delivers monthly risk reports, externally to Client and internally to Project team, contributing on the adequacy of contingency as part of the regular reporting cycle. 

  • Ensures all activities/operations are carried out in line with Mace Control Centre, Client requirements and prevailing legislation.

  • Actively engages in the integration of risk with PMO and Planning disciplines. 

  • Supports more junior risk managers and other Project staff as required.                                                                                                                                             

  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You'll need to have : 

  • Experience working on complex construction projects.

  • Knowledge of project risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Experience supporting the delivery of risk management and assurance frameworks and strategies.

  • Proficiency in risk management tools and software, such as Active Risk Manager, riskHive, Primavera Risk Analyser, and Primavera P6.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to develop and deliver clear, persuasive, and engaging presentations to clients and project teams.

  • Effective networking and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary environments.

  • Ability to coach and support project teams in risk management activities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage challenging behaviors and stakeholder relationships while achieving positive outcomes.

  • Resilience and professionalism when working in demanding project environments and with diverse personalities.

  • Demonstrated commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery objectives.

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to assess and mitigate project risks.

  • 5 years of experience, or equivalent, supporting the delivery of project risk management services within the construction sector.
