SQL Developer / Systems Analyst – Hybrid Type Role

This role helps design, develop and maintain useful, reliable and secure processes for internal applications and assists with the maintenance of the technical infrastructure that hosts various these applications. This team is aimed at continuous improvement to streamline workflows in key internal applications that power business, in addition to supporting the infrastructure that these applications run on. This is a dynamic team you'll be working on consisting of 2 Software Developers, 1 SQL DBA and 2 other hybrid SQL Developers / Systems Analysts. Specific duties include development of new automated solutions, SQL administration, SQL development, maintaining and creating documentation, supporting infrastructure such as Windows Server and Active Directory, and working with internal team members and third parties to resolve issues associated with these applications and systems.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Create and maintain automated processes using technical methodologies, programmatical languages, support tools and systems for internal applications
  • Develop and maintain custom SQL stored procedures and PowerShell scripts to automate department workflows and reduce manual administration
  • Assist in the implementation and administration of SQL maintenance plans, SQL clusters, SQL disaster recovery plans
  • Design, document, and implement new process workflows
  • Interact with SQL Databases to be able to feed other systems, generate reports, provide application support to SQL-based systems and assist with Business Intelligence initiatives
  • Monitor capacity, administer and archive data storage, as required, using scripting, copy utilities and comparison software on storage volumes for both SQL and flat file storage
  • Support infrastructure technologies and processes using Windows Server, Active Directory and Powershell
  • Provide escalated application support as necessary for department software, coordinate and interact with both internal IT teams and Vendor support teams to support such third party systems and applications
  • Maintain proper documentation regarding new and existing Department processes
  • Availability to respond to afterhours requests, alerts and emergencies as needed and periodically help with the installation and upgrade of department systems after hours
Skills We're Seeking
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL Development / writing SQL queries
  • Experience working with SQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL or Azure AQL
  • Experience supporting Microsoft infrastructure technology such as Windows Server and Active Directory and/or Azure
Nice To Haves
  • Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Computer Science or an IT related field
  • Experience with reporting using Power BI, SSRS, Tableau or something similar
  • Scripting experience, ideally with Powershell
  • Experience working with business users to gather and document requirements as it relates to business processes and workflows
  • Experience with workflow optimization and Workflow-design tools such as Visio
  • Experience with Networking and Firewalls
