Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager for the Mid-Atlantic region, as a District Sales Manager, you will be responsible for reaching district and corporate goals for sales growth and profitability through market development, managing the sales life cycle, and providing superior service to our customers.
Daily travel is required. Candidates must reside in the New York / New Jersey area, preferably living in New York City metro area. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, have strong experience selling LED and other lighting / control technologies, have a commitment to serving customers, and experience working outside sales at a lighting agent.
You will:
• Collaborate with sales management to develop and recommend annual sales plan and forecasts
• Build relationships by providing exceptional service tailored to client needs
• Collect, compile, and analyze pertinent information to establish goals for the region
• Coordinate with manufacturer representatives, distributors, and others to promote and maintain successful and profitable business relationships with current and potential customers
• Call on key end users and contractors to promote the company into progressive markets.
• Showcase RAB's innovation with in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of the product line, and market requirements
• Provide appropriate training, technical guidance and assistance regarding product and lighting applications.
• Be responsible for ensuring reps, distributors and contractors are trained and using the company's application tools
Your Skills and Competencies
• Customer focus, with product and market expertise, and excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and listening skills
• Time management, with a sense of urgency and prioritization
• Collaborative and strategic problem solving and adaptability
• Results driven
Your Experience:
• 3 years of lighting / electrical sales experience, selling through electrical distribution
• Experience managing manufacturer's representatives preferred
• Experience / interest in LED and other lighting and control technologies
• Experience working outside sales at a lighting agent preferred
