Title: Recruiting Coordinator
Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to support our talent acquisition and onboarding processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with background checks, drug screening, DOT physicals, Clearinghouse reporting, and I-9 verification while also assisting with sourcing and entry-level recruiting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about delivering a seamless hiring experience. Key Responsibilities:
Compliance & Pre-Employment Processes
  • Manage and process background checks, drug screens, and DOT physicals to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Oversee Clearinghouse reporting and monitoring for CDL drivers.
  • Conduct I-9 verification and E-Verify to ensure employment eligibility compliance.
  • Track and maintain accurate records of pre-employment screenings and ensure timely completion.

Recruiting & Sourcing Support
  • Assist with entry-level recruiting, including screening candidates and coordinating interviews.
  • Proactively source and engage candidates through job boards, social media, and community outreach.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for high-volume and specialized roles.
  • Support hiring managers with scheduling interviews and managing candidate communications.

Onboarding & Administrative Support
  • Facilitate a smooth onboarding process by ensuring new hires complete all necessary documentation and training requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and HRIS.
  • Partner with HR and hiring managers to improve the candidate experience.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and compliance training as needed.

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of recruiting, HR, or talent acquisition experience (preferably in a high-volume or transportation-related industry).
  • Strong knowledge of background screening, drug testing, DOT physicals, and Clearinghouse reporting.
  • Experience with I-9 verification and E-Verify compliance.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in transportation, construction, or safety-related industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with state and federal employment regulations.
  • Experience in high-volume recruiting and sourcing.

Additional Information:
