Job description

Description:

The Radiology Clerk will work within the Radiology Department supporting internal (Practitioners and Technologists) and external (Patients) clients while interfacing with all departments within our Private, Medical Practice.

 
 

The Radiology Clerk will have the primary responsibility to proactively prepare imaging studies and scan reports for the upcoming clinic schedules.  This shall entail interfacing with outside entities to pull images (such as MRI's, CT Scans, X-Rays etc.) and reports electronically from their systems (PACS) and load them to ours (PACS and EMR).  The Radiology Clerk will utilize established protocols to review clinic schedules and confirm and communicate which patients are expected to receive new imaging upon their visit.   Other tasks shall include but are not limited to;  sending films, interfacing with medical records, front desk and maintaining filing systems. 

 
 

The Radiology Clerk will support the  MRI business office by assisting with:  scheduling patients, completing MRI patient screening forms, uploading reports, setting up peer to peer calls and expediting charts.

Requirements:

-Prior Radiology Office experience a plus

-Prior experience with EMR and/or PACS systems a plus

-High School diploma or equivalent

-Must be highly organized and detail oriented

-Prior Medical Office experience preferred 

-Knowledge of medical terminology
