Public Relations Account Executive - Polskin Arts PR
LOCATION: The continued growth of Polskin Arts has resulted in a new PR Account Executive position based in the New York global HQ of FINN Partners. This is not an entry level PR role. This is a full-time, direct-hire role with a hybrid weekly schedule working 3 days in the office (T/W/TH) and 2 days remotely (M/F). The option to work 5 days a week in office is also available.

We are looking for a bright, outgoing, organized, detail-oriented individual who has a passion for the arts and impeccable interpersonal and communication skills to work in our fast-paced, demanding environment. The candidate should have a foundation of media relations and pitching skills and be eager to implement tasks learned on the job.
You will be assigned to concurrent client accounts and take work direction from several leaders within our department. Qualified applicants will have 2+ years of prior public relations experience (preferably in-house or at a PR agency working in the fields of the arts, gallery, museum, architecture, or design). Your familiarity with social media tools and channels, Muck Rack, Cision, Campaign Monitor, and MS Office Suite is expected. Your ability to work-travel nationally and internationally is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the execution of creative, strategic client public relations programs and campaigns. Prepare client meeting agendas and media updates for weekly client account calls.
  • Be a point of contact for clients and media. Actively pitch media. Receive and appropriately manage time-sensitive media inquiries and arrangements for interviews with spokespeople.
  • Develop, compile, and update communications materials including: client facing documents, strategies, pitches, media lists, press releases, key messages, media briefing books, blog posts, and media coverage reports.
  • Assist in the development and timely delivery of project trackers, call agendas, action items/recaps, weekly, biweekly, and monthly verbal and other written client reporting.
  • Support the implementation of core PR campaigns - planning, media strategy/pitching, event management, social media, content writing/editing, research, and account administration.
  • Execute strong media relations campaigns, expert positioning and reactive media relations. Work alongside the client team to secure media placements by proactively researching and pitching compelling story angles. Actively build and maintain strong relationships with the media across sectors, tracking journalist moves, and/or engaging with new media contacts.
  • Assist the Polskin Arts PR management team in the planning of special events such as press briefings and press trips.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of prior public relations experience (preferably in-house or at a PR agency working in the fields of the arts, gallery, museum, architecture, or design.
  • Bachelor's degree (communications, journalism, or art history preferred)/
  • Effective writing, editing, and proof-reading skills; exceptional attention to detail, high proficiency in verbal and written communication.
  • Is a collaborative team player who is eager to learn and expand their PR skill set.
  • Experience liaising in a client-facing role.
  • Able to effectively multi-task, work independently, identify and execute priorities, and implement outstanding research skills.
  • Experience working with traditional and social media strategies, campaigns, tools, and channels.
  • Strong media relations strategy and storytelling skills; drafts compelling messages and elevates client programs.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced, growing environment and simultaneously manage multiple projects
  • Interest and basic knowledge of arts publications a plus.
  • Knowledge of Box is a plus. Is an advanced user of Microsoft Office products including Excel and Outlook. Has solid user skills of Muck Rack, Campaign Monitor, and related software.

Salary range is $66,300-$72,000. The salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate's experience and dependent upon the workplace.
