Job Title: Jr Electrical Engineer
Job Description
This is an entry level engineering role that focuses on supporting electrical design and engineering activities for industrial products and equipment, with a strong connection to manufacturing operations. You will contribute to sustaining engineering and continuous improvement of existing products while gaining hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle, from design through production. The position offers exposure to industrial power generation and rotating equipment and provides an excellent foundation for long-term career development in a highly technical industry.
Responsibilities
- Support electrical design and engineering activities for industrial products and equipment.
- Assist with sustaining engineering efforts and drive continuous improvements to existing products.
- Provide engineering support to manufacturing and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Support electrical testing, analysis, and troubleshooting activities to resolve technical issues.
- Assist with preparing and maintaining technical documentation, engineering calculations, and design changes.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales teams to address and resolve technical challenges.
- Utilize custom engineering tools and Excel-based calculation programs to perform design and analysis work.
- Support customer inquiries related to product performance, technical requirements, and application questions.
- Apply relevant industry standards and specifications to engineering activities to ensure compliance and quality.
- Participate in product development and improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and technical input.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- 0–3 years of engineering experience. Pertinent Co-ops or internships are a plus.
- Foundational knowledge of electrical design and electrical engineering principles.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including use in engineering calculations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to support electrical testing, analysis, and troubleshooting activities.
Qualifications
- Internship, co-op, or project experience within manufacturing, industrial systems, controls, power systems, or electrical equipment.
- Exposure to motors, generators, rotating equipment, or industrial electrical systems.
- Familiarity with electrical testing and troubleshooting methods and tools.
- Exposure to IEEE and NEMA standards.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations or production environments.
- Interest in industrial power generation and rotating equipment.
- Motivation to develop a long-term career in a highly technical industry.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $73000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
