Job description

C2 seeks a Part-Time Simulator Maintenance Technician I to work closely with and under the supervision of the Shift Lead to maintain C-17 flight simulators and/or maintenance trainers.


Summary

The Simulator Maintenance Technician I is responsible for supporting the maintenance and operational readiness of C-17 flight simulators and maintenance trainers. This entry-level role includes performing routine troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and assisting in system diagnostics and modifications under guidance.


Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on C-17 flight and maintenance simulators.

  • Apply basic knowledge and reference manuals to address technical issues and system problems.

  • Receive training on simulator systems and subsystems.

  • Assist with diagnosing and correcting simulator faults.

  • Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems.

  • Log and track all maintenance actions using a maintenance management system.

  • Perform pre- and post-flight activities on simulators.

  • Conduct visual alignments and simulator testing.

  • Support simulator modifications, enhancements, and administrative/housekeeping tasks.


RequirementsEducation Requirement
  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training.

Experience Requirement
  • Entry-level position; previous hands-on technical experience is beneficial.

Experience Requirement – Tools and Software
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (for logging/tracking maintenance tasks).

Experience Requirement – Soft Skills
  • Ability to follow technical procedures and documentation.

Must have current SECRET-level security clearance or the ability to obtain an interim SECRET clearance.

Base Salary Range: $65 – $85 / hour. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and structural alignment. Individual pay is influenced by several factors, including the candidate's work location, relevant experience, skillset, and contract constraints.
