Job description

NABRICO Marine Products is seeking a safety-focused, detail-oriented Plasma Table Operator to join our 3rd Shift manufacturing team in Ashland City, Tennessee. In this role, you will operate CNC plasma cutting equipment to cut steel plate and structural components according to engineering drawings and production schedules. This position plays a critical role in supporting fabrication and welding operations by producing high-quality parts that meet company specifications.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, committed to safety, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


What You'll Do
  • Operate CNC plasma cutting equipment to cut steel plate and structural materials according to production specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and cut lists.
  • Load, position, and secure steel materials on the plasma cutting table using overhead cranes or other material handling equipment.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality cuts.
  • Inspect finished parts to verify dimensions and quality standards.
  • Perform routine machine setup, cleaning, and basic preventative maintenance.
  • Remove finished parts and stage materials for fabrication and welding.
  • Report equipment issues or quality concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
  • Work closely with production, fabrication, and welding teams to meet production goals.

What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience operating CNC plasma cutting equipment, CNC machinery, or similar manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools such as tape measures and squares.
  • Basic computer skills for operating machine controls and recording production information.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, sparks, and moving equipment.
  • Safely work around overhead cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery.

Work Schedule
  • 3rd Shift – Full-Time
  • Monday through Friday
  • Training will be conducted on 2nd Shift before transitioning to the regular 3rd Shift schedule. The length of training will be based on the candidate's experience, performance, and business needs.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
