Job description

Plasma Table Operator
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Plasma Table Operator for a company based in Tuscaloosa, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a local welding company.

Pay Rate 
25.00 to 30.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours 
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Plasma Table Operator Duties and Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate CNC plasma, laser, or oxy fuel burn tables.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and work orders to ensure accurate cuts.
  • Quality Control: Inspect cut components for dimensional accuracy using calipers, micrometers and tape measures.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance, replace consumables (tips and electrodes), and clean the workspace.
  • Safety: Adhere to strict manufacturing safety protocols, including wearing required PPE
Plasma Table Operator Qualifications and Requirements
  • Prior experience operating CNC burning equipment, plasma cutters, or similar heavy fabrication machinery
  • Ability to read blueprints and measure precisely. Basic understanding of CNC software and CAD.
  • Strong Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
