Job Title: Light Fabrication - Plasma Table Operator
Shift: 1st or 2nd
Who you report to: Heavy Fab Manager
Position Overview:
Advex Corporation is seeking a Plasma Table Operator to join our skilled workforce. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment, demonstrate an exemplary work ethic, and be committed to continuous growth and development. This position requires the ability to work with basic hand tools and measuring instruments, as well as the ability to qualify and operate a forklift. Candidates must be flexible with their work schedule, including the ability to work various shifts and overtime as needed. A strong desire to learn and the ability to follow instructions are key attributes we seek in our team members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Adhere to all safety requirements and protocols specific to the manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Operate basic hand tools and measuring instruments, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
• Sort and move material with forklifts and shop crane.
• Assist with CNC plasma table set up and operation.
• Assist fabricators with project forming and fit up.
• Exhibit flexibility by being willing to work different shifts and overtime when necessary.
• Maintain focus and productivity while not being distracted by personal communication devices.
• Show a strong willingness to learn and grow within the company, actively seeking instruction and feedback.
Required Qualifications:
• Familiarity with manufacturing safety requirements and commitment to following them.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools and measuring instruments accurately.
• Forklift certification or the ability to qualify for forklift operation.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to report to work on time.
• Willingness to work any assigned shift and overtime as needed.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
• Open to instruction, learning, and career development.
Candidates must meet the following employment eligibility guidelines to be considered for employment:
• 18 years of age or older at time of application
• Able to provide proof of US Person Status ((Due to government contracts, U.S. Citizenship is required.)
• No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date
• No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date
• Willing to submit to a drug screen
• Willing to submit a background check
Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift and maneuver items up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance as needed.
• Capability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Must be able to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to loud machinery, fluctuating temperatures, and handling industrial materials.
• Position involves repetitive motions and manual handling of tools, metal components, and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods during an 8-10 hour shift.
