Join Classic Kia Smithfield as a entry level Parts Assistant, where you will play a key role in supporting our service department by providing excellent customer service and efficient parts management. This position is based in Smithfield, NC, and offers competitive compensation.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in receiving, stocking, and organizing automotive parts inventory

  • Pull and deliver parts for technicians and service advisors

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with bin counts

  • Assist customers and technicians in locating the correct parts and accessories

  • Process shipments, returns, and warranty parts as needed

  • Learn dealership inventory systems and parts catalog software

  • Support the Parts Manager with daily department operations
  • Ensure the parts counter area is clean, organized, and professional.
  • Occasional pickup/delivery of parts
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an automotive parts or related retail environment preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

What You Do:

  • Assist technicians, service advisors, and walk-in customers by providing pricing and availability as needed
  • Accurately order and track needed parts
  • Answer phone calls, providing assistance and prices as needed
  • Process and organize orders for delivery or pick-up
  • Ensures all cash, credit, charge, and tax-exempt sales are processed as required
  • Receive and ship parts in accordance with company policies
  • Restock inventory daily
  • Ensures all returned parts are properly tracked and identified
  • Conduct assigned daily perpetual inventory audits
  • Other duties as assigned
