In this role, you may also oversee data migration and storage, coordinate with other IT staff, and use software to help check for errors within the databases. Entry-level oracle database administrators often write new code for databases, troubleshoot problems, and occasionally travel to other offices. Most entry-level oracle database administrators work for large companies under the supervision of more experienced DBAs, but small companies sometimes hire entry-level administrators as their sole support staff. This job works exclusively with database software from Oracle Corporation, which is sufficiently unique enough that employers prefer to hire specialists.
