Oil States is currently looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Machine Operator I in Lampasas, TX. This entry level position prepares and operates press machines to process and produce a high-quality rubber product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Makes certain all materials for production are available
  • Loads hot molds with rubber and puts molds in press
  • Removes parts from molds
  • Inspects parts
  • Cleans molds and equipment
  • Records time and temperature data
  • Changes molds when necessary
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
  • Ability to operate a forklift

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures
  • Effectively run one line with multiple presses
  • Will be required to work overtime if needed to continue production on any shift
  • Basic comprehension of written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition/subtraction, multiplication/division)
  • Ability to follow safe work practices

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Heavy to moderate physical effort may be required for the following: Prolonged standing, reaching, bending stooping, pushing, pulling and climbing
  • Regular lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in temperatures over 100 degrees
