Entry-Level Horizontal Manual Lathe Operator
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a professional, customer-focused Entry-Level Horizontal Manual Lathe Operator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in machining and manufacturing. The Entry-Level Horizontal Manual Lathe Operator will be responsible for operating and assisting with setup of manual lathe equipment to manufacture components used in gasket and sealing products. Training will be provided for candidates with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn. Zip Code: 77032

Pay Rate
$18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Entry-Level Horizontal Manual Lathe Operator Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate horizontal manual lathe machines safely and efficiently
  • Read and follow work orders, measurements, and specifications
  • Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
  • Assist with machine setup and tooling changes
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow company safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines
  • Work closely with production team members to meet daily production goals
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
Entry-Level Horizontal Manual Lathe Operator Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work the required schedule, including Saturdays
  • Basic math and measurement skills
