Schedule: 7:00am to 3:30pm or 3:00pm to 11:30pm (Monday thru Friday)
Education: High School Diploma (Minimum)

Background: Must be able pass a Background Check & Drug Test (No Exceptions)
Experience: 7-10 Industrial Maintenance experience is required.

Position Summary:
The Master Mechanic is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities and ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of all production equipment. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with powder coating systems, extrusion lines, and grinding operations.
  • Key Responsibilities
    • Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment including:
      • Powder coating booths, ovens, and conveyor systems
      • Extrusion machines and associated feed systems
      • Grinders, mixers, and dust collection systems
    • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
    • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
    • Coordinate with production, safety, and quality departments to ensure equipment reliability and compliance.
    • Plan and schedule maintenance work orders, spare parts usage, and machine overhauls.
    • Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and equipment performance documentation.
    • Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency, safety, and quality.
    • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA, NFPA, and plant safety standards.
    • Participate in capital project planning, installation, and equipment commissioning.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of Industrial Maintenance experience.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong background in mechanical systems, industrial electrical, and PLC basics.
    • Demonstrated expertise in powder coating equipment, extrusion lines, and grinding systems.
    • Welding, fabrication, and machining experience preferred.
  • Education: Technical degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or mechanical engineering.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
    • Proficient with CMMS systems, maintenance scheduling, and parts inventory management.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
    • Work performed in a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to powder coatings, heat, and noise.
    • Must be able to stand, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Availability for overtime, weekends, and on-call support as needed.
